Triple embarrassment.

Not really a "New to " query but - I'm embarrassed that each post I've started in the last few days appears in triplicate on the website. I press the button once to send it, and for some reason it comes up here thrice over. So if you've been irritated by my three queries about LED bulbs, likewise Rapido awnings, my apologies!
I wonder how many times this one will appear?  ...

    Don't be embarrassed, HH. It seems to be a 'characteristic' of the wonderful software used to run the forum.

    It reminds me of that chap who used to be in Coronation Street. I said it reminds me of that chap....... laughing

    You press the button, it then takes it's time, nothing happens, so you press it again and again surprised and get a lot of posts.

    NO!  However diligent you are, and QUITE CERTAINLY only press the enter key ONCE, you sometimes get (varying numbers of) multiple posts.  It is purely a software error.

    The first time, it said there was a fault in the system and my post hadn't been made, so yes, I did press again.

    The second time, having seen 3 of my first thread appearing, I clicked just the once. It still said it had failed so I abandoned it ... then 3 of these appeared too! Ah well.

    I'm writing this after trying to login several times and getting the road signs saying wrong way or whatever rubbish 😉. As you can see I'm posting so there definitely is a software error 😤😤😤😤. But if you read the responses from staff on CT and Facebook. They are working on fixing things but each has to be investigated, written, tested several times etc etc before its rolled out. Shame it wasn't done before the upgrade launch 😲😲😘

    Since the last facelift the site seems a lot slower than it was.
