Hello all, I have bought a 2010 yeti 2.0diesel 4x4 140 bhp with a kerbweight of 1455kgs and intend using it to tow a2006 ace award Tristar of1218. Kgs MIRO and 1435 kgs MTPLM. I know I will have to be careful with loading to keep the weights reasonable but have other members any experience with outfits like this? Also the door mirrors on the car arc downwards and I don't think my milenco towing mirrors will clamp on to a curved edge.Any suggestions as to new mirrors ?

Thanks,Mick Rumble

Are you sure your kerbweight is correct? I have a 2012 Octavia Estate 2.0TDi 140 4x4 and mine is 1,495kg, thought the Yeti was heavier. They are good engines, nice torque band 320nm @ 1,750 - 2,500rpm, my caravan has a mtplm of 1,318kg giving me a ratio of 88% pulls well 33-37mpg depending on roads. Was going to get a Yeti, but the estate has more load / carry space. My mirrors slope downwards and my Milenco clamp on OK.
