Trauma ultrafow cover flaps in the wind

The cover of the Truma Ultraflow water system flaps about in the wind.  Has anyone got a useful suggestion on how to prevent this.  I've tried using a bungee cord but this just slips off.  I'm considering gluing something to the flaps for the bungee cord to latch onto or drilling holes in the sides to accept a hook.  I'm aware that I could remove the flaps but am concerned that repeated removal and replacement could cause the hinge to fail necessitating replacing the whole unit.

What about adhesive velcro, other makes are available. Better than holes 😲

Rochroy, I've always used a bungee without any problem. I just wrap it around the flap and the pump tube so it is tight. Been using the same bungee on various vans for about 15 years. It'll probably break soon because the rubber cords will have perished from old age.

It sounds as though you have not pushed in in enough until it clicks. It does take a bit of a push.

I use an elastic band.......slip over water pipe and then over the cover......simples!

I use a Velcro strap to go around the flap and the pistol grip. B&Q have them I think.

I think I misunderstood rochroy. I thought you meant whilst travelling, a problem that I did have once because the flap wasn't pressed home firmly. On windy days when on site I have had the flapping problem and just used a large elastic band around the pump hose and over the flap. A simple but effective solution.

I find mine doesn't flap in the up position rather than resting on the pipe but I have used Velcro in high winds before I found it stayed up, however not had really high winds since discovering it stays up in moderate wind.
