VW T5 steering vibration
Just bought a VW T5.1 SWB campervan. Private sale, so bought as seen.
It has a couple of problems: you can feel vibration from the steering when moving the wheel at slow speeds. It isn't noisy or violent, but definitely there. I suspect it's always there, but not noticeable when driving as it's masked by the vibration frm the engine etc. I've seen ideas such as loose hydraulic pipes (not clipped in place), or seized top strut bearings, or low or contaminated hydraulic fluid. I've also experienced more obvious vibration in the steering of another T5, so I suspect it's a common problem. Any ideas? The fluid looks fine, the vibration seems too smooth to be seized strut bearings, and I'd have thought vibrating pipes would be more a symptom than a cause.
Also a movement somewhere in the transmission when engaging the clutch. Again, not extreme, but clearly some sort of play in either the transmission or the engine mounts, or the struts (again). Ideas on common problems?
Cheers

You need a mechanic as it's not really possible to diagnose without seeing and testing.
