Does anybody know if you are allowed to swap sites having already paid and pay the extra if needed but lose what you have already paid if it is cheaper. We are on a lovely site but the area does not really do it for us and just wondered if this was doable or we would have to just leave early, lose our money paid and rebook and pay on another site .

Are you meaning swap one CC site for another? If so, I believe you should be OK, although you may lose 1 night's fees if you decide to leave sooner than 72 hours after giving notice. You can certainly swap advance bookings with no penalty so you may be lucky - the wardens will give you the definitive answer I suspect.

Yes Moulesy that was the idea, didn't want to bother the wardens at the mo and it is a lovely site, idyllic just the area does not have enough for us really. Might sleep on it for now, but thanks for replying.

I don't think it would be possible for you to just leave early and book another CAMC site in any event. The system would still show you had a booking and prevent you from making another one. As M says you should be able to do it penalty free if you give 72 hours notice.

Yes Mr M is fully correct, are you on an Affiliated Site? different rules apply there.

I understand if you want to move to another cc site (space permiting) , then the staff on the site you are on at present should be able to book the next cc site,  and give you a full refund of the outstanding nights you have paid on the present site
