Truma pistol connection

Hi,we recently bought a new caravan with a truma pistol connection, our old one had a whale connection, I plan to change the connection on my original  hose .can you tell me if it is necessary  to include a pressure reducer  thank you

    You can buy the truma pistol connection for your hose, is it for the service pitch, some dealers only sell the Truma pistol grip has a complete set with hose and tap connectors, more pricey

    Regarding a pressure reducer, my Ultraflow Waterline has one fitted and on some continental sites, the water pressure has been very high indeed, so it has saved everything in the van on the inlet side from being blasted.

    Not sure of the technical reasoning behind a reducer but I assume that Truma wouldn't bother to fit one if it wasn't a good idea.
