Just taxed the motorhome (3500kg) and discovered that the VED went up in the budget from £235 to £245. Must have missed this at the time. The Gov.Uk website doesn't appear to show any information regarding VED rates for motorhomes.

All rates go up every year in the budget, PG9. I'm sure it is on the website.

Still half the price of my previous towcar. Strange to think that after four years I am still paying less for my motorhome and small car together compared to owning one Kia Sorento!!!

I think the total ved last year for a R Class, two Smarts & a Citroen C3 was just over £800, so wouldn't worry about an extra tenner wink

Oddly, my motorhome, which is classed as a PHGV, has not changed in 5 years at £165 p.a.

I think the reason the PHGV rate has not gone up is because the trucking industry would not be best pleased if it did. They also have people to fight their corner for them.

It's an odd situation, I have a 2.5ltr pickup, I paid £230 a few months ago. I've no idea how they make these decisionsfrown
