Just read in this months magazine I have just received someone praising the re brand ,he is 50 and so long way off retiring so thinks the future is for more pre retirement folk on sites I know a certain person on here thinks the future is all about people that are retired but we have to have a mix of all ,not having kids on sites putting dog owners in a corner by themselves is not the way forward we all have to get along young and old !!!

What about the "gushey" letter from the woman,is she real? or a figment of the marketing /editorial staff imaginationundecided

But as for the "older" generation on sites, it will be even more in the future, with an ever older population, with even more use of sites for a longer season, and the rise in the pensions pot that can be accessedsurprised

As i posted before more young families are taking to tenting/glamping as the set up and running costs are far cheaper for the times available to them to go awaycry

We oldies have a limited future. The future of the club and vanning in general has to rest with the younger generations.

I'm wondering if anyone will be allowed to reach retirement in the future, the retirement age seems to be extending over the horizon.wink

We oldies are being followed by even more oldies in the future ,who will want even more leisure time, because of what seems today to be with modern work patterns  with a 24/7 work enviromentwink

The cynic in me says that pre retirement folks will be busy doing 24 hour care for the very elderly, as the care system is falling apart rapidly!

My instinct tells me that the next generation of retirees will be well into their 70's by the time they get the liesure time we enjoyed at 60 or 65.

I wonder what the statistics are for retirement plans. A caravan was are choice for a different sort of retirement, how many decide to do the same?
