Call Connect - Stamford

Wow! what an incredible experience I've just had from the warden at Stamford.

We've just managed to book 2 nights this BH weekend with our M/H and I didn't realise that the site was 8 miles from the centre of Stamford. We've arranged to meet my son there and the warden did advise me that taxis can be expensive (as they have to come from Stamford). He then went on to recommend the Call Connect service.

I've just rung them and spoken to the most helpful chap ever  - for those who don't know (cos I didn't) , it's an almost on demand rural bus service that you can book and the route then can expand to pick up passengers from surrounding villages.

I have just booked a bus service from the site to Stamford at 6pm for £3.20 per passenger (me and hubby)

It's an incredible service with all the knowledge provided by a really helpful warden.

(On an another note, if there are any fellow Stamford CMC visitors looking for transport on sat night into Stamford, there's now a bus!) laughing

    Used this service last year when staying on a cl at Nassington which is a village near to Top Lodge (Stamford) It worked very well for us too.

    what about getting back or will you take a taxi?

    Taxi but we are ok with that as it will be late :)
