Can anyone tell me what the nose weight  would be loaded with 2x6 kilo light propane gas bottles ?         thanks

    If you are looking,go to your local Coachman dealer and get them to try it for you ,bearing in mind the van in use would also have other areas loaded which could alter the nose weight

    Depends what else you have inside the caravan & where you put it. It can be virtually anything you want it to be.

    Lavendarroad,  To Quote a well known phrase or saying  "You can not be serious".

    What to you mean 40k ex works?  If you really mean 40Kgs ex works, do not for one minute think that will still be the nose weight when you have the van fully loaded ready for your holiday!  As Molly's Mummy has so  succinctly put it, its all depends what you put in it and WHERE you put it.  You must check the caravan handbook and the cars permitted max tow ball loading.  With a 2 berth van it is most likely to be in the range around 80Kgs not 40!

    From someone who has towed for about 40 years take it from me, too light a tow ball weight, will encourage instability.  It is much better to be closer to the maximum figure than the lowest figure. Ideally load your caravan to the recommended figure shown in your vans handbook.

    Stow heavy items on the floor and over the axle if possible, then move them forward bit by bit until you bring the nose weight to the recommended weight.  Never put heavy items at the back.  It will all be in the caravan's handbook.  Keep an eye on tyre pressures too.
