    "B*gger Bognor"

    King George V.

    wink

My kids (boys 8 and 10) loved going in the WW2 submarine HMS Alliance, Victory, and the Mary Rose museum at the Naval Dockyard in Pompey. It is quite pricey though if they're not interested!

These are within say a 20 - 30 min drive of Bugnor....(see their websites.)

Perhaps the Roman villa at Bignor?

Weald and Downland museum at Singleton? (Animals and medieval buildings and outdoor 'hands-on' stuff for kids).

Tangmere Aviation and Military museum? As it says.

Chichester harbour's good on a fine day and I think you can still get a harbour tour on the Water bus from Itchenor.

Amberley museum and heritage centre?  (Narrow gauge railway, vintage vehicles - buses, lorries, motorbike, demos, old buildings and exhibitions in a former chalk quarry). Perhaps stop off at Arundel en route by the river, castle, boats, wildfowl reserve........(antique shops wink).

    Hi

Rookesbury Park site at Fareham is great for families. There's also Rowan Park site at Bognor Regis you could try.

It's over 10 years since I lived down there, but apart from the sites at Rookesbury park (it's at Wickham, but might be listed under Fareham) and Rowan park (which can be noisy), there were some seaside sites at Bracklesham bay and West Wittering.  There were also CL's  near the Queen Elizabeth country park (A3, N of Horndean) and on Hayling Island.

For things to see, I would also recommend Southsea Castle, The Overlord tapestry  and the Hill Forts on Portsdown Hill.    Oh, and if it's still there, the Iron age village at Chalton (It appeared in an old episode of Dr.Who)
