I've stayed on the Norfolk Board site near Wroxham and that would fit. It has a playground on site and is a good base for visiting the broads. From the nearby boatyard you can hire a self drive boat or get on a bigger boat in Wroxham. Plenty of villages and walks as well.

We've also stayed at White House Beach site near Lowestoft, again it has a playground and is right on the beach, but its not a sandy beach but still good fun for the children.

Pinewoods at Wells next the Sea. Up near the beach, all sorts of facilities on the site, including a miniature railway down into Wells. Belongs to CC chairman. Check the price first though!

See what you mean about the prices! In peak that's £39 for a pitch on with fibre-reinforced grass standing area with polyethylene porous grid paving (whatever that means?) but that seems to include however many occupants and is a service pitch. However add an awning at £5 per night and a dog for £3 per dog/might it soon becomes expensive. It does have a good location though.

Incleboro Fields is a good family site, nice play area if you pitch up on the western side. Some energy burning walks up Incleboro Hill. Nice beach and cafe within walking distance, station for train rides, shops and places to eat, all walkable. You'll need to be quick to book for the Bank Holiday! Hope you find somewhere. smile

Back in 2001, height of foot and mouth outbreak, in February, they wanted £23 per night when we called in to enquire. I managed to get them down to £17 per night, but in the end we told them to get lost and stayed on Fakenham Racecourse site for around £8 a night!

That's the landed gentry for you, somewhat divorced from reality at times..... laughing
