Suitable route to Hebdon Bridge site
Travelling from south via M6 , M62
Is the road from Rochdale via A58 / B6138 suitable for a caravan, if not could anyone recommend a good route.

I took the A629 towards Elland from the M62 and then picked up the A646 to Hebden Bridge. If memory serves that B road south of the site is narrow hilly and windy enough in the car! I don't think you need to go as far as Rochdale my route was without trouble although avoiding rush hour would be a good move!
Sorry I was thinking M1 not M6 and I have just looked at the site directions and wonder just how bad the junction can be if you exit M62 at junction 22. I think I would google earth it but personally I wouldn't do that B road except the short bit from the north to the site.
I hope someone who has done it fron the M6 will come along! Enjoy.

I wouldn't go that way myself. You have to cross the Pennines and the better way to do that is to stay on the M62 until you get to junction 24 (Ainley Top)
Then take the road down towards Halifax and the A646 out of Halifax to Mytholmeroyd. The turn off onto the B6138 is actually in Mytholmeroyd
