This debate comes up many times. It would help if CC updated their diagram on the site layout plans.

Rowena of the Caravan Club staff confirmed the CC position here:

https://www.caravanclub.co.uk/club-together/discussions/the-social-room/general-chat/motorhome-pitching/?er=P411200#P411200

In essence: The Club accepts outfits either being pitched nose in or reversed on to the pitch, however, the outfit, if reversed in, must be aligned with the marker post on the driver’s side and if pitched nose in, must be aligned with the marker post on the passenger side.

As the topic was specifically about Motorhomes Rowena also added : If a motorhome is on an awning pitch and is not accompanied by a car and the safety spacing is adhered to, on request to the site staff, they can be pitched further over on the pitch to give them more space. This is down to the site staff to manage and not for the members to move the pegs without permission.

I have done similar with my caravan on site to enable me to park the tow car and open the door wide to get out. The wardens on site have been aware and had no problem with this as clearances have been maintained above that required.

When on site this last month with our caravan we were on a hard standing pitch nose in (with a lovely view ) and as no awning were slightly of the peg to enable easy access in an out of the car, had the car to the left of the pitch surprisedcool

Hi EasyT, Sorry I haven't got back to you sooner. FYI I have brought this to the attention of the site operations team and they are looking at reviewing the site layout plan leaflet to avoid confusion in the future. I will keep you updated.

Reversed in and drivers side to peg, nose in and passengers side to peg, does the Club not cater for left hand drive vehicles?
