Essential Maintenance

The facility to log in on the site was down again for essential maintenance this morning. If these are planned would it be to much to ask for notifications to be posted. If I have missed them I apologise in advance, but had a good look on the bits that worked and could see nothing. It does not matter as far as CT is concerned, but someone might have been wanting to make a booking. Surely it is not beyond this new forward thinking club to tell folk what they are doing, and more to the point when it is likely to be running again.

The maintenance might have been essential, but I bet a dime to a dollar it was unscheduled. It was probably as much a surprise to the IT team as to the membership.

If it is unscheduled, a little hint about when to expect it working again would be good customer service. If this then changed for any reason it could be updated. At least someone wanting to book could then decide wether to wait or perhaps use the phone.

I quite often have log on issues. As you say no message is no help. Knowing how temperamental the site can be ones never sure. Customer relations seem to be off the radar as far as this website is concerned - example the road signs which say something ridiculous, can't remember the exact words as they infuriate me so much. 😣

I was rather hoping to see some fixes but I haven't noticed any changes as a result!

When it doesn't work I just think "CT again" and find something else to do. Fortunately, other forums are much more reliable.

I wondered why there were so few posts this morning when I logged on!!! If its scheduled they sometimes put a note on the main page of Club Together. If it was unscheduled I would have thought that would be a good use for the Facebook page? Although I suppose that is not manned overnight.

    Hi everyone

We did have the site down this morning for essential maintenance, but hoped to have the site live again by 8:30am - unfortunately we overran by 10 minutes, and were back online at 8:40am.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Can it not bring up an automatic message when this happens? I saw nothing about planned maintenance I only ever come to CT via latest activity page. Clearly any notice about maintenance has been missed by others including a mod. Was there advance notice on the site ?

The way Rochelle's post is phrased suggests that it was planned. However, despite looking at the bits that were working, including the main page, I could find no mention of it.

Agreed. I've seen several of the huge LED motorway and main road signs displaying the message:

    'Sign not in use'

    I ask you!

There's a rural sign near me which says 'Hidden Dips'

Unfortunately I haven't found my favourite cream cheese and chives one yet.
