So lets get this right, you've been reading about this issue on here for four years,
yet there was me thinking judging by the reaction of many on here that the OP ( a dog owner themselves incidentally ) , and myself, new to this forum, that we were the very first two people to raise it as an issue...........obviously not, so all isn't so peaceful on club sites after all, so someone is telling porkies0 -

Ekka.....you must realise that any criticism of anything that happens on a Club site will result in you being roundly attacked by a certain group. They will accept no criticism whatsoever.
The fact is that some people don't control their dogs (barking, poo, poo bags......whatever) and this must sometimes happen on Club sites. The people who allow this are not good members. Fact.
Your attackers will usually come out with the comment that, when on a caravan site in close proximity to others, you just have to accept these things. "Just chill out" they will say......which I assume means, just accept bad behaviour.
I disagree. When living in close proximity to others, that is even more reason to respect your neighbours and cut out the noise and other nuisance factors.
I like dogs and have rarely been troubled by them.......but to try to deny that constant barking or bags of poo in trees is a problem is ridiculous.

I have no doubt it was a discussion/battle long before I joined the forum
Six pages and still not banned, These new guys dont know how lucky they are, yet.
Where this topic is concerned it is hear no evil, see no evil and best advice speak/write no evil.
Husky, you naughty boy Burt must surely be a figment as well.

Well, I think we have Ekka's measure now. This ain't to do with dogs barking on site. This is pure wind up.
Good try, Ekka, but you overdid things. Better luck next time.

Might I just point out, returning to the OP, that having spoken to the "offending" owners, the problem seems to have been resolved. Now I'm sure some will say you shoudn't have to speak to owners about it, but I'm afraid that's life (no, Ian, I'm not condoning it, just stating a fact that sometimes in life situations like this crop up!) and at least the OP had the gumption to do something about the situation rather than just moan on here!

actually I like the peace and quiet I get from my 2 dogs when I go away as they curl up and go to sleep ,my female Cocker Spaniel barks at me to be fed be given treats and my male dog barks when I come home and barks when I'm getting ready to go walkies but when I'm away they don't do it so it's bliss !!!!!

Maybe those of us who have graduated to caravanning through tenting first are a bit more aware of noise levels on site and behave accordingly.
Many newcomers, having gone straight into vanning may think noise levels can be simliar to their living rooms at home without causing disturbance to others?

I have the Solution !!!!!!!!!! Ban All Dogs, Ban all owners with Dogs, Ban all children, Ban all owners who have children, Ban Noisy Owls, Ban railways at the side of sites, Ban radios TV's and all noise emitting sources, Ban Granny and her incessant clicking of knitting needles, And Finally ban all partners who categorically refuse to empty the poo can !!!!
Peace and quite At last OMG where am I ?????? Just woke up Saturn's outer Moon , Very quite here good view of the earth but a bit chilly.
I promise never to mention Dogs again, Please can I have a new Membership now

Some dogs bark a bit some don’t. That’s life, and I don’t think most people are too bothered from time to time.
But I have been listening to 2 hours of barking, whining and howling now. Constantly. And the owners don’t care one bit about the impact on another 20+ caravans around them.
Yes everyone needs be tolerant of some noise when you are all packed in a small area, but it goes two ways and some need to be thoughtful that not everyone wants to spend their evening listening you you pride and joy bark their heart out.
It’s great people can take their dog with them. And the vast majority are very respectful. But there are a few that eXOR this others to be flexible and think of their needs allowing their dog to bark continuously, but simply don’t return that feeling and respect that other people mat not want to hear a dog barking continuously.

N, I don’t think anyone will disagree with you but what have you done about it - had a polite word with the people concerned, spoken to the wardens, or just posted on here?

Where are you staying? Have a word with the Wardens if it’s a Club Site.

There’s always tomorrow and if you or the wardens don’t tell them, they’ll never know the nuisance they’ve caused.

I would have a quiet friendly word with the owners, they might be unaware just how distressed their dog is left alone. If you get a negative response, walk away, then let the Wardens know if it happens again. It isn’t fair to leave a dog alone if it howls and plays up loudly. Not good for dog or others close by.

Other campsites have a rule that dogs are not to be left in the Caravan when the Customers are not there. The CMC would be wise to adopt the same rule. Leaving a dog alone in the van while owners go out enjoying themselves is selfish and neglective.
If owners can't be bothered looking after their dogs properly, they should have the dogs taken off them. End of ---- Dog ownership is a great privilege not to be abused.

Have to take issue there k we often leave our dogs alone for a couple of hours (no barking or reports of noise) whilst we look round places or go shopping because my wife is disabled and I have to push her round so cannot manage that and 2 dogs. They have never been neglected as you suggest and go on 2 or 3 long walks a day.

Revived but concerning a different event.
I guess the latest poster searched and found the thread. The law of averages suggests the search facility must work occasionally. 🤔

Now it’s duplicated, locked and hidden. Except it isn’t. Mmm, very odd.🤔

Yes, but one's been muzzled.
