Website crashes when trying to search overseas

I've been trying to search overseas campsites on the revamped website for a few days now, but every time I try, the search errors with timeouts. Is anyone else having problems with the new site?

I'm searching in Pays de la Loire, and choosing the "I am FLEXIBLE with my travel dates" option for August 2017. I have fiber optic broadband (I'm getting 45-50mbps) so I don't think it's my end.

Searching UK sites seems ok... Is it me?!

Yes, there is a problem. I did a search and after a lengthy wait it timed out with a Server Error, and I am on 70Mbps fibre.

You could repost under the snagging thread and it might get noticed,or report my post and add it in the comment, this will get your thread looked at hopefully.

No it's not you. There seems to be a problem.

So just choose a site or sites - either from the Club list or from wider sources -  and contact them directly to ask about availability.

Thanks both - glad it's not just me then!

I'll try to report it now.

Even when the website is sorted it may tell you that your chosen campsite is fully booked for August. This only means that the Club's allocation of pitches has been sold - the campsite itself may well have space still available. So make a direct booking.

Hi, Last week a poster was having problems with August availability but when he searched on availability Saturday to Saturday then he had success as many sites will only take booking for minimum periods and, in high season, set days of arrival.

The pages seem to be playing up generally. Trying to log in is hit and miss and has been for several days............... that's just for starters.

I wish you luck on your new exploring journey. What they didn't say was you will trip or stumble early on 😉. This is to improve our intrepidness and tenacity.  All part if the going forward service 😉😂

    Hi guys,

Thanks for flagging this up, I'll forward this on to the relevant teams and will update you when I know more about this.

    Thanks

This still seems to be an issue which repeatedly occurs now - with the error message "Application error: a client-side exception has occurred (see the browser console for more information)."

We've got a ferry crossing and overnight vouchers in our basket but when trying to add additional European sites the site crashes again and again. Since apparently being revamped the website is still unstable.

I'm having the same issue when I try to book a ferry from Plymouth to Santander. Any help would be appreciated.

The original post on this thread is 6 years old but I also had the same problem recently as quoted above....

I had a saved ferry in my basket which cost me an extra £80 the next day...... as I ended up booking sites without the ferry as it was the only way it worked....

    So random.
