A good question Husky so long as it is not rhetorical, as I do not feel they should be prevented from or admonished for exercising their right to do so!!.

All I think about is i think the members should have been given the vote  on it at the same time as vote on the board members to save on cost

I disagree but members should have been forewarned that it was going to happen.

All so in the eyes of the law you can not say the caravan and motorhome  have been about since  1907

We too wonder what is happening to the Club.  The hike up in site fees is ridiculous the Club will price itself out of the market.  If we are to pay these fees all the sites should have up to date shower facilities as we for one will not be paying these prices to stay on sites where showers need updating and people defaecate in them when they think they will as per the Treamble Site! when we stayed there.  Perhaps with this price increase Wi Fi should be free.  You can get free Wi Fi nearly everywhere these days so the Club is not all that up to date at the moment.  CL's are now the way forward I feel. One consolation at least is we are not The Motor Home and Caravan Club!!

Did he say that he was leaving the CC? No - just that he was considering C&CC.

I don't consider that the CC prices are greatly different from similar commercial sites but that is OK by me. Happy with no facility sites and the facility sites that I have been on have been fine. I have come across more commercial sites that either charge for wifi or have it available at one location than those that provide free. Free wifi at a point other than my caravan is of no interest to me. I probably use CC wifi for an hour on 80 nights of the year. For £24 I consider that it represents good value for me personally.

As for the turd in the shower at Treamble I hardly think that the warden or club is to blame. I am sure it was not the warden!

You mean that they have not tried to bury it amongst all the good news associated with the rebrand?

No joke. There's a thread on here from a member  saying it's not opening and staff have said on the Facebook page they've only just found out and contact centre staff will be contacting those with bookings in the coming week.

It is Camping & caravan Club, caravans were not admitted until quite recently in their history when they "re branded" to encompass caravans (which now includes motor caravans) which the caravan club did in 1962

Good on you, I belong to both and use whichever suits me at the time irrespective of branding and direction. If Easyjet opened up a caravan site and it suited me I would book with them also.
