can anyone tell  me if it is possible to acess the coast path from this site on foot , I know that it has a very good dog walk for those members with dogs but we just want to be able to have a longish walk possibly to perranporth or towards newquay

A brisk 45 minute walk to Holywell Bay, a gentle hour walking back.

    Hi

halfway down the site just before the play area a public footpath goes through the site. If you bear right, passing the play area on your left you can follow the footpath along a small backroad until you come to the MOD fenced off area. From there bear right along a marked path, this will take you eventually to the coast path where you can either walk to Holywell Bay or carry on to Perranporth passing the grave of St.Pirran on the way. It's roughly a 45 minute walk and very enjoyable.

When I worked there in 2011 we had a list of easy short walks like this from site so I'm sure that this years wardens will have the same.

We were at Treamble Valley last October and did some lovely walks directly from the site.  The wardens had maps which included walks to Hollywell Bay, Perranporth and beyond. It's a lovely site and the area is beautiful, I'am sure you will enjoy it.smile

You can also walk to the local pub, The Smugglers Den. We spent several days at Treamble just doing the local walks.
