We have been on cc site with three other friends, and have over this w/end been amongst a rally that had over forty pitches "reserved"(coned off)  for their use,and what an "example?" some gave to other members on site,

Numerous just let their wastes run onto the pitches, including the vice chairman of the club ,or ran waste pipes into the edges of the site and others on leaving emptied their wastes into the hedges,

Also no regard to one way system solo or when towing, and some also seem to think that 5mph was the minimum speed.

When spoken to by other members on site ,the vice chairman could not see anything was wrong.

Surely there are not different rules for ralliers are there when on club sites?

Will you all be following up with emails to HQ with your observations? I do hope so and that you pursue until you get a response.

Have you got net curtains in your van JVB (twitch, twitch wink )

Must admit, on rallies our waste water always goes into the hedge unless there is a specific place that needs watering of course, but it is bad form to let your waste out onto your pitch, though accidents do happen. Hope it didn't ruin your weekend having to constantly keep an eye on the dreaded ralliers surprised

I didn't take it it was the rallies but reserved pitches ignoring the one way system and speed that were the issues. I know folks will say rallies are better together and I don't disagree but NO excuse for ignoring rules. I believe the site JVB66 refers to has a rally field .

There was not a need ,as it was spoken about by several other non ralliers, some were that disgusted they are writing to the club too, especially after the vice chairman's comments

    Despite your veiled postundecided

there may well have been a rally field but it probably didn't have 40 ehus and at this time of year if the rally is willing to pay extra for the facility and be on probably firmer ground too - why not. Were they turning bookings away in droves  or did the rally actually secure a good block of bookings they otherwise would not have had ?

No problem of a Rally on a site, but at least they should respect other members, and show some form of respect for other members, rather than take the attitude that some had of we are a rally others do not matteryell

Ps the site was full this w/end so I would think knowing the site some other than the rallys could not get a  pitch
