Lockwood Caravan Repair Tape

Came across an old cutting from a magazine advertising this product. It's for Rooflock 1000 Repair Tape that supposedly bonds to most plastics, metals and construction materials (according to the advert). At about £17-18 per roll it might be a handy investment.
Has anyone ever used this product?

Not sure about Rooflock but I have used "Eternabond Repair tape" It's American and a bit pricey but it sticks to and seals anything, as long as the surface is clean. Maybe it's similar?
