As the 2012 brochure only mentions "12 volt charger" it s extremely unlikely hat this is a smart charger. Manufacturers tend to brag about that sort of thing.

I can't answer directly but the handbook for my 2010 Lunar 524 telling me that my charger drops down to a trickle charger when the battery is full. Does that make it intelligent?

    I would say no.

Easiest way to check is if the voltage never go higher than 13.8 volts, then its not smart.

In my Lunar the charger is made by Sargent. If yours is the same then why not send them an email and ask the question? The model number should be printed on the unit. I have found Sargent very helpful and quick to respond when I had a recent query about leaving the charger continually switched on over winter.

Look at your charger and write down the model number. Google the number and look for the manufacturer's name in the web address.follow the link. Without too much effort you will probably find the charger handbook which will give you the rating and specification.

It's worth practicing the above for other research too. You'll be surprised how easy it is to obtain accurate data as opposed to assorted guesses.
