Adria awning offside rail

I recently bought an Adria caravan and discovered although there is an awning rail on the offside it has no slot to feed anything into such as a towing covert. Not a massive issue, but I was considering a new cover and would have to open up the slot myself or do without, but does anyone know why they don't bother with the slot.

    Probably a cost saving exercise.

I've just got an Adria too and noticed that too. Have/did you find a way of getting anything into the rail?

How is the Adria? Any tips/anything to look out for?

Hi Yorkshire Swan, did you make any progress with this one.  I have just bought a new Adora that will arrive in November 2018 and it has the same issue.  I asked the dealer about this but his reply was "we don't like towing covers as they scratch the window's'.  Not really the type of reply that I wanted to hear, and have towed for the last five years always using a cover I really want to do the same with  my Adria.  Looks like I will have to try to work it out for myself, but I am not really sure how to progress it.  So any news on your progress would be much appreciated.

I bought an Isonzo in 2015 and was delighted that the nearside awning rail has an opening at the top of the rail - to slide my Caravanstore on and off very simply, without having to unravel it. Haven't seen any UK vans with this feature yet.

Not sure why they don't have an opening on the offside, but it's a very simple operation to carry out and any dealer worth his salt should do it in a few minutes.
