For anyone visiting this weekend please be aware that there will be major resurfacing work on the roundabout at junction 5 of the M74 the normal access. The Southbound slip will be closed and a dubious diversion in place amongst other closures and restrictions. If you are visiting this weekend the simple route is to exit at junction 6 and follow the slip for Motherwell. At the traffic lights turn left into the park and drive through the park but do watch out for the speed bumps.

I would avoid junction 5 at all costs.

    Should have been there this weekend but had a change of plan earlier in the week when the snow was forecast ... Going next weekend instead .... hopefully it will all be back to normal by then
