Caravan covers
Firstly I would like to apologise in advance if this thread has been discussed before, or it reactivates a thread from 86 years ago.
Thinking of buying a full cover, please give me your opinions, good, bad, what make? And recommended.
Thank you

Hi, there are mixed opinions on this but I feel that the benefits outweigh any perceived disadvantages. I think keeping the caravan out of the worst battering of wind driven rain can only preserve the caravan. Also, if it is 'put away' in a clean condition it is nice to unveil a clean caravan for the next trip.
A good breathable made to measure cover can be obtained from Specialised covers or Pro-Tec of Bradford. Less expensive covers can be bought but i think it is important to ensure the material is breathable.

I cover my vehicle when it's not in use, it protects it from bird dirt, tree sap, UV, the worst of the weather and prying eyes.
With practice, and a helper if possible, putting the cover on can be done quite quickly......

In storage the caravan next to us has a cover. When I visited our van this week. I noticed that the other van had the lenses from the rear highlevel running lights lying on the ground on both sides. Can only think that they had been rubbed off by the cover moving in the wind.

as I see it..............the cover must be kept somewhere when using the cara van.........the caravan must be clean and dry before fitting/re fitting the cover............The caravan is designed to live outside in all weathers!!what is the point.....saves washing the caravan three or four times a year which is when any damage/problems are noticed!!! each to his own|
