Isabella Shadow Net Front

We have an Isabella Shadow canopy which we find excellent now that age has made a full awning unrealistic for us.  We spend several weeks in Southern France each year and the Shadow works well for us with one drawback: the design is such that afternoon sun easily shines in below the roof line.  Isabella offer a partial front made with some kind of net fabric.  Unfortunately the price looks excessive.  I am wondering about buying the two Isabella poles to go across the front and asking one of the awning repair companies to make a strip of fabric about 50mm deep to use instead.  I suspect that it might be cheaper than the Isabella option.  Do any Isabella Shadow users have ideas on this?  So far our only solution is hanging towels form the canopy with clothes pegs - hardly an ideal solution to say the least!

A quick google brings up this:

    http://www.youcancaravan.co.uk/awnings-c2/sun-canopies-c10/isabella-shadow-net-front-only-canopy-and-sides-not-included-p35

from £56.50 vs £142 for a pukka isabella bit, probably cheaper than getting a bespoke item. How much would 2 extra isabella poles cost?

Thanks for that.  I think I am over complicating things.  The front net plus poles is £191 for our 5 metre canopy.  Isabella know how to charge but I guess it is expensive as they don't sell many.  I have never seen one in spite of travelling many thousands of miles across France.

We have the "net" for our 4 metre Shadow, one will find it is a bit more than a net fabric pelmet so the assertion that "Isabella know how to charge" could simply be they know how to make quality gear; never a cheap route.

It is a reflective aluminimised net plus a solid fabric curtain, comes with the poles, the adaptor fittings, the heavy duty guys and pegs. Plus it does an excellent job of shielding those shallow sun angles. Like we have found with all our Isabella kit you get what you pay for; "quality".

I have no doubt you could make or get something made that would work for less money. A single bed sheet should be available in the new year sales, but whether you could trust leaving it up when not there manning the van I doubt, we found we could not so got the proper job. It now looks the part not more of the laundry. Also the use of netting allows vision out but full privacy; the sheet only managed one of those tasks.

PS; there is often 20% off at the NEC or more simply via a phone call during the show period.

Thank you so much for your helpful reply.  This was just the information we needed.  I believe that everything Isabella make works and is ultimately worth paying for.
