    Sorry to be picky, but the site in Spain is " Castillo de Banos".  Its on the coast in the province of Granada. Eileen will be there from 10th Feb.  Jean & I join her about the 18th.  Meg

    Should  any  of  you  Solos  be  up  the  West  of  Scotland  from  26th  April  To  22nd  May,  you  just  might  see  a  grumpy  looking  person  in  his  Fiat/Autocruise  Jazz.  You  can approach  without  getting  bitten ( Barring  midgies  ! )

    Strathclude,  Carradale Bay  AS,  Bunree,  Morvich,  Altnahara,  Maragowan,  Englethwaite  Hall.

    Yes there are two of us in Western Scotland at the moment we are at New England Bay then Culzean Castle, but not sure after that. Hoping to get to Glen Coe, Arisaig and Morvich but we'll see.

    Hi you two!

    Sorry to see Pippa couldn't make it.  I hope you both have a brilliant time.  Malvern Hills were gorgeous.  We did some lovely walks and had lots of laughs.  I'm off to Scarborough and Northumberland with New Companions from here.  See you both soon.

    Hi Pete, yes! It was my 60th Birthday trip away that was cancelled. Pointless sat in Salisbury C&CC site on my own, so I stayed at home and went out for a meal on 2nd April (my Birthday) with Steve, plus two friends, followed by being taken out on the 3rd by my son now he is back home full time.

    Off with New Companions on 10th May to Devizes C&CC site then again on 29th June to Barley C&CC for one night on my way down to Veryan C&CC in Cornwall on the 30th june, again with New Companions.

    I will also be going to Norden THS )Corfe Castle for the carnival week at Swanage.

     

    fancy joining me???

    why New Companions?? Because no one bothers with Solos here anymore

    To join any of the meets mentioned above just book on the site and then let the wardens know that you are with the Solos. If you look on the first thread on this section you will find more details.

    Many of us are also in the New Companions Camping Club.  You will find details of that at www.newcompanions.org.uk

    cool Long weekend at "Black Horse" in Monks Horton Nr Ashford Kent ,21st to 23rd July .Motorhomes ONLY,hook -up ,£10.00 a night plus 10% of the restaurant food .Close to Folkestone or Ashford.wink

    No idea why I can't copy and paste the Diary Dates list, but hey ho!

    anyway, the trip to Norden, Corfe Castle is still going ahead, but I will not be there due to ill health and a operation due on my spine. However I am planning a trip to Cosham, Portsmouth later in August 2017.

    There will be a group of New Companions at the Scottish Region THS at the Drum Estate, Edinburgh for the Edinburgh Festivals.  Dates 12th to 18th August. Any solos welcome to join us.  We are going to see the Really Terrible Orchestra at 4pm on 12th! When you arrive ask where Meg is.
