Caravan versatility
Following the Editor's note in the May edition regarding alternative uses for caravans you might be interested to learn that in 1999 I launched a 'Youth Enquiry Service' providing free, confidential and independent advice, support and information to young people at schools across Worcestershire as part of our Youth Service provision.
At one School which was unable to provide appropriate accommodation for this service we utilised a caravan with suitable design layout and slight modification for our specialist staff to meet and support young people during, and outside school hours.
The Service was available for approximately 5 years and was very successful, except for the location at which we used the caravan as despite being on school premises and appropriately secured it was stolen!
