More caravaning tales by Bobby Cook
Hi I'm back from my nap.
The first time my Mum and Dad took out the new caravan we went to Knepps Farm neat Thornton Cleveleys. Well what a time we had getting there. Mum was supposed to be given Dad the directions from his sat nav anyway we took a wrong turn and ended up down a farm track. We asked for directions and ended up going down a narrow lane I had to hide my eyes behind my paws in case we met another car or something bigger but we made it.
With the setting up done we decided to go for a walk in the country park that runs behind the site you can walk into Fleetwood from there we didn't as I glad that my mum doesn't like walking as I only have little legs.
The next day we went into Cleveleys and had a walk down the high street for the benefit of my mum, we then had a walk along the seafront which looks like it has been done up. It was October so I could have gone down to the beach but I really don't like water bad enough having a bath. I had a lovely walk to the end of the Prom where we found a coffee shop Dad had an Ice cream. Mum had a hot chocolate and a piece of coffee cake. I had to make do with my water but I did get a piece of mums cake.
The day after we set off for home where Dad broke down we had to ring the AA so we could get home. Dad had forgotten to put enough diesel in for our return journey so we got towed to a garage in Colne. We were just waiting for Dad to fill up when my sister passed so I got to go home earlier than mum and dad and didn't have to wait until they put the van to bed as mum says.
