Just returned from a great week at Lucksall.  We are relatively new to caravanning (although have stayed under canvas for many years) but to date the site is the most natural and prettiest we've stayed at and is so well maintained. The pitches are long rather than wide and this is the first time we've encountered this layout but we quite like the fact there's no pressure when you arrive/leave as hitching on and off is much easier as you're completely off the site roads. Staff are lovely and very helpful, the cafe serves nice snack type food and the shop is good. My only grumble is that I would like the showers to be hotter, but I do like a 'hot' shower and other CC sites suit me better with regard to this. Other than this minor moan the facilities are first class and spotless.

As relatively new caravanners we are still looking for easy routes.  Lucksall was more rural than others sites we have visited but still relatively easy to get to with our first taster of narrower roads.  The local roads are the 'lumpiest' we've encountered so far but all part of the learning experience

We will certainly return to Lucksall.
