BBC reception in Euriope

As from Nov 2013 I understand FreeSat / BBC will cease to be available to us on the Continent following their move to a new satalite which has a smaller footprint..

Does this render my dish kit useless?   Are my only options Sky?  Does Murdock have us by the throat? Again?    Can companys continue to advertise kits like mine in the CC Mag ?
