WE FINALLY MOVED ON SAT 4TH OF MAY AND TRAVELLED TO ZAOSTROG ON THE MAKARSKA RIVIERA. CAMPING VITER IS NEW TO CAMPING CHEQUES THIS YEAR. THE NICE LADY ON RECEPTION FOUND US A NICE QUIET PITCH IN THE CORNER OVERLOOKING THE SEA. WEATHER 30C HOT AND SUNNY. SITE BUSY FOR TIME OF YEAR BECAUSE ITS THE ONLY ONE OPEN. RELAXED FOR A FEW DAYS. THEN FRIDAY 10TH MAY WE SET OF WITHOUT OUR CARAVAN FOR A DAY TRIP TO DUBROVNIK. THE COAST ROAD WAS BEING RESURFACED IN PLACES AND WAS IN VERY POOR CONDITION, WE WERE GLAD WE DID NOT HAVE THE VAN IN TOW. DUBROVNIK IS A NICE PLACE TO VISIT, THE OLD WALLED TOWN IS VERY BUSY EVEN OUT OF SEASON. WE PARKED ON THE TOP CAR PARK AND WALKED DOWN TO THE OLD TOWN. SPENT 4 HOURS WANDERING AROUND INCLUDING LUNCH. WE DID NOT FANCY THE WALK BACK UP SO GOT A TAXI. 60 KUNAR. THE TAXI DRIVER EXPLAINED WHY IT WAS SO BUSY. IT WAS DUE TO AHUGE CRUISE LINER DOCKED IN THE PORT. 4000 VISITERS JUST FROM THE SHIP ALONE. WE GOT BACK TO THE CARAVAN AT 6 30. 160 MILES MILES ROUND TRIP BUT WELL WORTH IT. T B C
