Smell in Motor Home
On a recent trip to the club site in Wales (Coed-y-Llwyn) a horrible stench developed in our M/Home. After extensive checking of grey water pipes, toilet and checking under the van I mentioned this to the warden in case it was coming from the toilet area which was close by. He checked the drains etc. which were all in order. His wife then discovered on 'Google' that some one else had had this problem and it was a cell in the leisure battery that was malfunctioing. On touching the leisure battery it was warm. It was this that was causing this horrible smell like 'rotten eggs'. Consequently the battery was disconnected and a replacement was fitted and this cured the problem. The wardens were extremely helpfull. Hope this information is of use to other campers.
