Just back from a very good club site Abbey Wood London, it is a very secure site with gates which close at 10pm and reopen at 8.00 am next morning. There is no vehicle access during these times and the foot gate has a code to use if you return back and the gate is locked. We spent a week at this site as it is very handy to get access right into the heart of London and if you purchase your Rail Card it is £8.00 per day, but this allows you to use the train, bus and underground which is very good value. We were very late home on one occasion as we were at a show in London, but the train from Charing Cross takes you straight back to Abbey Wood and it is only a short walk back to the site and you use the access code and there is no problem. On our last day we decided to have a walk around the campsite and it was to our shock that we saw 4 squirrels up the one tree and when we stopped to look at these a woman came out of one caravan and told us that she feeds them and also foxes that come into the campsite.

On arrival we were told to look out for the foxes as they were known to steal your shoes, but the fact that one camper is feeding them the situation is only going to get worse and the campsite is trying to get rid of these, but when someone is feeding them they are going to hang around for a long time. The campsite is very well run and the wardens very helpful they even tell you to get 2 for 1 voucher books at the station which we did and used the coupons inside which made things a bit cheaper to visit.

A very well run site and very clean in all aspects a credit to the staff who keep on top of things in order to keep this site in the condition it is at present. We had a great week with you.
