Sounds morbid, We had a funeral to attend in Redditch today Friday the 29th of June. So decided to stay at a camp site locally and attend the ceremony but make somthing of the weekend. We set out from Devon yesterday the 28th at 12 noon and arrived at the Blackmore Caravan Club site at around 15:30ish a really nice run up. Our longest journey yet since buying the Senator Virginia about two months ago. This is our fourth sorti in that time. We settled in and had a good nights sleep before heading off to the Redditch  Crem today. The service went really well and after the service we headed back to friend of the deceased for a little lunch and chat with the family, whom we are close to. The best bit is that we have been able to make the most of this trip, 45 years ago I travelled to Australia as a 10 pound Pom and met up with Edward from Hereford and we spent some of our time travelling around Auz. Well 45 years on we both returned to the UK but in the last ten years have touched base a couple of times so whilst  here my wife and I will spend some time with him and his wife over lunch tomorrow, and yes probably talk about Australia, but lets face it we could never do the same in Auz, the distances are too great and after the views, the beach together with Ayres Rock (sorry they changed the name to something I can't spell) it will have to go some to beat the UK, well I can say that whilst sitting looking at the Malvern Hills,  the Sun, the Rain its all part of that rich pagentry called England, what a great place to caravan....Malcolm
