The Wonderfull Highlands
I have just returned from a short trip to Wester Ross. We stayed at Kinlochewe CC site which was an ideal base to explore from. ( Please check the weather before you go as wind is essential so that the Midgies are blown away.) The site could cut back the grass deviding the plots which might help a little.
There are numerous small villages worth visiting Torridon, Sheildaig, Garloch and Poolewe for Inverewe Gardens.
Victoria Falls when there has been rain in the hills are spectacular.
Hill walking is a must as the views are outstanding all around the area.

Having tried to book Edinburgh Club Site for August 2023 when we were there in August 2022 the wardens said it was not possible to book a year in advance. I have just tried the new booking site (not the easiest to use) to find a massive increase in fees. I've not noticed any reason for this published in the club magazine.
