October in Cheddar

When you live in Bristol going to Cheddar is not such a big outing, but when it is the first time you have ever towed your caravan, it is raining and night has set in already it may seem like thousands of miles away!  Never fear we made it in one piece and found the site right where we thought it would be.  As it was our maiden voyage we were ever so grateful to the fabulous warden for helping us manually back our caravan into the pitch (yes we cheated but heck it was raining cats and dogs).  After about an hour we had everything ship-shape in Bristol fashion and gloried in all of the space we now had.  After years of camping in a VW camper-van, our caravan is like Buckingham Palace with a full loo to boot!

The site was wonderful and for members only too.  The toilet block well maintained and grounds top notch.  In the morning we strolled into town (just be very mindful of the traffic on the bridge) and enjoyed the not so crowded town of Cheddar.  We highly recommend you take a chance on the British weather and enjoy what Cheddar has to offer you in the fall.  Plus, if you stay at the member site you can't go wrong!

Glad to hear your first trip went ok. If you managed to get into Cheddar in the dark and rain you've done well!
