Berwick Seaview, the Caravan Club's most northern site, is a long, narrow site positioned on a hill overlooking the estuary where the river Tweed meets the sea. All pitches face outward towards the sea, providing a beautiful view and although can be quite exposed to the elements, watching the tides coming in and out must be appreciated. If you are lucky enough you might even spot seals in the harbour or a pod of dolphins frollicking in the sea in front of you. The site itself is positioned on the south side of the river; a short walk or drive over the modern bridge takes you into the city centre. Don't forget to look across at the Victorian viaduct on your left and the older bridge on your right.
Berwick is steeped in history; as a border town it has been the centre of many battles between the Scottish and English. For those interested in history, there is a walk around the walls and ramparts of the city and slightly further afield there are historical sites at Ford, Etal and Flodden. There is also a walk aimed at those interested the artwork of L S Lowry who painted many different locations in Bewrick.
A short walk down the hill from the site, there is the Spittal, a sand bank that is exposed at low tide and a stretch of coastline with sandy beaches. This is a popular place with families, particularly in good weather. There is a real seaside resort feel.
Berwick Seaview is well worth a visit; the views from the Caravan Club site are wonderful and there is so much to do in the surrounding area.

Hope the Meeks have left a review too. I guess Dunnet must be the most Northerly site?

Whoops meant most northern in England!

We'll aim to get to the most northern CC site at some point in the next year.
