#XploreMore 2014 - Task 76 - Make a model of your caravan out of recycled rubbish
One of the pleasing things about the Caravan Club sites is their recycling facilities. They encourage members to recycle their waste by providing different dustbins and ‘igloos’ - giving people no excuses NOT to recycle.
Like most caravanners - I’d imagine - we have a box of rubbish for recycling in our awning that we sort and dispose of responsibly before we leave, giving us plenty of materials to cut, stick and colour.
Kerry and I started this challenge as the girls were playing with some friends they’d made at the Rosedale site. The idea was that we’d hand over to the girls after a few minutes.
However, we got a little too into this challenge and ended up engrossed in a bit of Blue Peter style model making. Perhaps we craved this sort of creative activity… maybe we just got lost in a child-like playful activity that it was.
Anyway, whatever the reason was, it was great therapy - and it was sunny too
So parents, grandparents… oh, and kids, make a model of YOUR caravan out of your recyclable rubbish.
NB Remember to dispose of the model responsibly by using the site’s recycling facilities - unless you are going to take it home and put it on your mantlepiece
