Oh dear, not again!

SadThree years ago I made a booking for a particular club site in an area which, in 40 years of caravaning we have never visited.  Three weeks before we were due to travel I suffered a problem with my health which took weeks to overcome; with the help of the medical profession, naturally.  I had, as a consequence, to cancel the booking.

Early this year I booked the same site for two weeks a little later this month, confident that my health was now OK and all was well.  My tug, a much loved Citroen C5 of early vintage, has now suffered a break down.   No amount of attention from whatever agency is going to sort this problem out, it's far too expensive.   It is terminal!   Too late to arrange other transport, I have had, once again to cancel the booking.

Now here is my dilemma.  Do I try again when I am up and running, or is it possible that some Club Site God is peering down on me and saying  'Don't want you here. go somewhere else?'

I doubt that this is the case but it makes you wonder, doesn't it?

    is it too late to replace the car and hook up and go ??

    We all think that when things go wrong that it's just us but it isn't ... Clearly the site is meant to be because you keep trying to visit it.. Good luck with the car and your health

    Isn't it typical of our great club that, when you write a story thinking nobody will really be interested, you find that, not only has it been read but two sympathetic people have taken the trouble to reply.  Thank you to the Robinsons and Mar Jen.

    Life is rather busy at the moment, with family commitments including a great grandchild's Christening, so we have found a little run-about to get us by and will look for a good tug when time permits.   You are right, of course, I shouldn't give up on the site and I won't.   Truthfully,  I don't believe in fate, or fairies, even.   I am not at all supersticious and, touch wood, I never will be!!

    Thanks again for your good wishes; who knows, we may meet on site somewhere, someday.
