First trip away

Just had our first trip out of 2014 had a lovely time at Wirral Country Park we are only 13 miles from home but you could be miles away.Goes to show you dont have to travel far to have a good time. Thanks to the wardens who do a great job

     Likewise we are back from our second trip to Lady Margaret, Chirk- onlyl 45 miles away. The snowdrops are lovely. The use of our free bus passes also makes it an ideal base,

    Good to know about this site we hope to visit this area once we have been relieved of Puppy duties.  Our Belle has had 7 lovely border collie blue Merle puppies 3 weeks ago.

    Hi  our first full weekend in Hunters Moon in the new Venus 500 caravan. .  We had our first cup of coffee before we attempted to put our brand-new awning up as this was early in the season there was not many people around. The wind was so strong that Jan
    and I decided not to go ahead and put the awning up not for just a weekend. Not only that we had the wrong pegs and I forgot our lump hammer. While I was making coffee I attempted to put the milk in between two wine bottles on the second shelf in the fridge
    it all collapsed and we had a whole bottle of wine break over our new carpet, not a problem. I soaked up the wine with a towel and when we got home I would clean it with our industrial carpet cleaning machine as I run a cleaning company, as I said, not a problem. 
    That was our second small bit of trouble the rest of the weekend was really nice. We had good weather and the rest of the weekend was trouble-free once again Hunters Moon is a brilliant site close to the Silent Woman Pub that serve good food, very friendly
    and allowed our 3 dog's in as it is a dog friendly Pub, what with the locals and people from the caravan club plenty of good company. That's all for now until our next trip in our new van, so until then Jan and me will sign off goodbye everybody.  Hunters
