Caravaning in Italy???

This is my first ever posting so I hope I am doing it right! We would like to tour Italy in July this year going as far South as Rome, away for 3 weeks.

I am put off by the big sites advertised in the CC Magazine because they don't like Vans over 7.5m (ours is 7.8m)

They have a minimum stay of 3 to 7 days

It says they get busy and so one has to book and yet we are not sure how long we want in each place.

There doesn't appear to be much room between each van.

We would like to find the Italian equivalent of a 5cl becasue we don't need any facilities.

Can anyone help?
