Hello again

I thought this post would be of use to most M/Homers / caravaners with cycles, some of you probably know what a lumen is, but for those who don’t it is, according to wiki, a measure of the total "amount" of visible light emitted by a source, in this case a torch, “ a torch you say ” who cares a effin damn about torches.

Well that’s what I thought, you buy a torch with batteries, hopefully and turn it on, or charge it up and turn it on, or wind it up, oh well you get the point and like me spend about £20 quid for what you think is a reasonable deal, usually the bigger the torch the more light you get, it wasn’t till I met a fellow cyclist who told me the torch he has on his bike cost £239 quid and was the brightest light out on the market at the time, well I wasn’t going to buy a bl**dy torch for that price even if you could see to outer space, until…..

I started searching on google to find out if I could get one cheaper and was bright enough for me to see where I was going…...on me bike at night, after a while I found the very torch, wait for it, not two lumen when you consider most handheld torches are usually up to ten lumen and the expensive ones are about 100 lumen, but 4000 lumen, so I bought it, in fact I’ve now bought two, one for each bike but it’s not just for bikes you can strap it to your head, strap provided, for walkers and potholers I guess or just stick it in your pocket, it comes with a rechargeable battery pack and a charger and little rubber band to fit it on your bike and the light is out of this world it’s like riding in daylight, you can even see the birds in the trees if you point it upwards of course, not that I would do such a thing of course…..uhumm, still check it out go on to google and type as I did 4000 lumen, I got mine off ebay for £24 quid, the only thing I will say is don’t point it directly at other motorists ( I’m sure they will bring out a law soon about the max one can use ).

That’s it as always any questions post as usual and any criticisms don’t bother…….lol.

Thank motorhomeman65, myself and 2 of my colleagues have also bought almost identical lights for our bikes, and the amount of light they emit is incredible..  I also have an LED Lenser P7 hand held torch which is equally impressive for such a compact torch...
