Hi, this is a story about our holidays this year 2013, the first of the two near Carnforth

We went at the end of July and finished the holiday in August,

The second holiday was in Devon, we stayed at Wolf valley  cl site at Broardwoodwidger.

You will see by the pictures we had a great time on both trips, just to let you know it was just myself and my wife, I am Paul, (golly79) and the wife is Helen or as I cal here on here Mrs G but don`t tell her .

Ok

Picture 1 .

is Helen on the fell and lime stone paving above Hooton Roof near Carnforth, from here you can see Morecombe bay in the distance if you take binoculars you can see it better,

Picture 2.

Is the view from the same fell but lower down looking toward the A65 toward Ingleton we sat and watched the local Farmer cutting the fields of grass and then collecting it up for silage .

Picture 3.

Is myself entering the door way to the ruin of Tintagil Castle  , you will notice I have my damp proof coat on with my shorts , I know , a bit of a spanner and commented on by a woman we met up there ,but boy it was windy and that made it a little cool if you stood still. one foxy dude though.

Picture 4 .

This is of part of the ruin taken from the point where the gap is between the island and the mainland , we found it to be a nice but tiring walk from tintagil to the ruins then up the steep steps and back but well worth it pop into the gift shop while at the ruins and taste their wares ,when we got back to the center of tintagil we turned right toward the spa shop we came across a fish & chip shop and let me tell you they are the best I have ever had in my 50 years of life so far. We then drove on and through Boscastle unfortunately we did not stop we just drove through , what a shame , what a lovely place it looked too .

We also went on to pot Isaac but no pics here sorry.

Picture 5.

This is one of the smaller falls on the Ingleton water fall walk a good walk with some steep rises on uneven ground at times but well worth a visit the cafe is great ,and the tea hut half way round .from half way in the distance you can see White scar cave ,again for £8.pp guided walk through the cave is awesome .and funny .

Picture 6 .

This cow was on Dartmoor believe it or no ,it stayed there while I took it`s photo ,god it even posed,

While on the more we went to prince town past the prison, then on to hay tor and widicombe , its a good hill going in to Widicombe .

Picture 7 being the last is of a train heading toward Ribblehead Viaduct from the tunnel Carlisle side , we decided to walk along the bottom of the viaduct and then go up the hill alongside the line and this train came and everyone even the driver waved to us, it was a shame the steam train was not running that day but what a holiday ,it was great ,trouble is holidays have to end .

Thanks for that MrG (Paul).  It's great to be able to add a story/location to each of the pictures.
