Never again!
I've been a club member for 7 years now and can't remember the last time we went on a non club site. Last month we arranged a weekend away with family who have a tent, we found a site that could accommodate us both, however when making the booking over the phone I came to realise how marvellous cc staff really are. The lady taking my booking asked how big my caravan was, and I'm sure like me, you will chuckle at tthis me, it's 8 metres......lady, it can't be!...... Me, yes it is........lady, are you sure? Me, yes I'm sure. Lady, I think you should measure it to check.......me, it's 8 metres long, it's not the biggest either. .....lady, oh, erm, so it's a twin axle then......me, no........lady, it must be!...... Me, no it's single.......lady, how many wheels has it got.......me, 2 one one each side. Lady, are you absolutely sure..... Me, yes...... Lady, oh I will have to book you two pitches then.
The to to top it all off when we arrived they said "oh just park where you like".
