Wharfedale - disappointing

We are recently returning caravaners and have so far visited
about 6 sites, however the last tript to Wharfedale was the worst
experience we have had so far. This recent holiday was with 3 of
our grandchildren and we arrived to be told that during one of the
busiest holiday periods the childrens play area was closed due to
it being deemed unsafe. Correct me if I'm wrong but surely the play
area should have been checked in plenty of time due to the holiday
period and all problems rectified in time for Easter. The other
problem was the toilets, this is the first site we have visited
without the key entry system in place, and my wife found that as
children were allowed unsupervised access this toilet area was
treated as a playground and children allowed into the ladies
toilets alone were causing disruption, on one occasion a child had
smeared excrement all over the toilet, seat, and bowl left
unflushed which was disgusting and caused the whole block to smell.
Not only is this dsgusting for other toilet users but my sympathies
go the member of staff who had to clean up this mess. Surely all
sites should have the key entry system so that this kind of
disgusting behaviour is not able to take place.  I need not
state that we would not visit this site again, and hope that our
future holidays will be of a more pleasant nature.
