Just arrived home from the National Caravan Club Ralley, What a great weekend! Arriving in torrential rain, strong winds on Friday, along with many more members and there units, to a quagmire of a site, the Marshalls were first class and we were pitched as quickly as possible, and believe me not an easy task. The rest of the weekend was fantastic! After heavy rain all last night, we left early this morning to avoid Difficulties caused by last nights rain! Roll on next years Ralley !

We too have just returned from the National Rally. This being our first we didn't know what to expect but its big!!!!  There must have been in excess of a thousand vans and campers there and all in a dreadful quagmire of mud. However, once pitched and the
heating on we waited for the sun to appear the next day and we weren't dissappointed. It shone for the next three days and we returned brown and happy. The National was in a beautiful setting in the grounds of  Belvoir Castle, near Grantham, Lincs. but actually
    in Leicestershire!.

Lincolnshire had a good number of vans but as with every other organisation we had difficulty filling enough teams to enter everything on offer, many because of age limits (too old or too young!) The teams we entered did us proud and the icing on the cake
was the Quiz team winning the competition so well done to them. It might have been a more memorable triumph if the team had actually been given something in the way of a proper trophy or medal as the one they were presented with was a cheap medal on a ribbon
which just said Caravan Club National, no year or what the win was for. Very dissapointing, Perhaps they want them back next year as they could do for anything!

We spent a lovely three days cheering on our competitors and mixing with the other ralliers with banter and chat in a friendly atmosphere. All in all, for a first time National we were delighted with it and wouldn't hesitate to go another time if the distance
isn't too far. But please Caravan Club get some decent medals to present with what they have won!!!

We had a great time at the Belvoir castle rally apart from having to wait over an hour ,on the friday at 2pm to get pitched and only 3 caravans in front of us to, Also the power went off 3 times in an hour and a half that afternoon,

We didnt receive any black bin liners like it said on the brochure for the rubbish, but in all respect we had a good 4 days the entertainment was fabulous.
