Praise to the wardens of Rowntree park
Here again I feel that I am moaning again........... after a first visit to York Rowntree park I am ashamed to call myself a human being, let alone a fellow caravanner !!!!!!!!!!!!! The site as usual was fully booked and the majority of members were elderly......97 % and 3 % children..... every morning prior to the toilets being cleaned by the wonderful wardens , the toilets had been left by members in a disgusting state ( without too much detail ) dirty toilets (brushes provided) toilets not flushed ... used sanitary towels left laying around in the cubicles, empty toilet roll holders just thrown on the floor ..... one morning 3 of of 4 toilets were unacceptable!!!!!!!!!!!! I do understand whilst at peak times things do become difficult to maintain and children can sometimes find the toilet area somewhere to congregate but there were no children to blame .... I did speak to the warden about this and coulnt believe the stories they told me ............... people turning up in their luxury tourers /motorhomes wouldnt leave their "outfit" in that state so why leave it for the wardens... ................
