COURTESY OF A PHONE CALL

We have just returned from a lovely break on a CL site in Northumberland.  We ended up having the site to ourselves as 4 other members had reserved a pitch over the Easter weekend but all failed to arrive or even have the courtesy of phoning the owner to cancel their booking.  The owner had turned down other bookings as he was of the opinion that his CL would be full for the weekend.  It is such a shame that some people cannot have the courtesy of picking up the phone and cancelling a booking if it is no longer required, not only did they deprive other members of the use of the site, but such action could lead to CL owners giving up on running CL sites, access to which is often the best part of being a member of the Caravan Club.  So come on folks, show a little courtesy and if you make a booking and then need to cancel, at least pick up the phone and advise the owner.
