A cry for help!
Would be really grateful for any help or ideas on this one.
In 2011 I bought a 2009 registered Autocruise Stardream which had installed a Blaupunkt Lucca Travel Pilot 5.3 satnav with reversing camera. I have recently tried to buy an update for this and it would appear that these are simply not available for use in the UK. Blaupunkt in Germany informed me that the only place I could buy an update was from a firm called Navteq in Holland. I contacted Navteq and duly paid £89 for an update which I then installed. Unfortunately, I found that I cannot now input any postcodes into the satnav and when I queried this with both Navteq and Blaupunkt, it would seem that these updates do not support the use of postcodes. As this is how I use a satnav for the vast majority of the time, I have returned the update to Navteq who have now refunded my money. However, it doesn't solve the problem as I now have a satnav which cannot be reset to its original settings (whereby I could input postcodes), thereby making it completely useless to me. As Blaupunkt have told me that there is no other firm which produces updates, I have a satnav which cannot be updated.
I would love to know if anyone else has had a problem with Blaupunkt satnav systems and/or if there is any way around this.
